Adapt Pro ToolboxPrivacy Policy

Adapt Pro Toolbox ("the Toolbox", "we") is a Chrome extension and web service for auto repair shops that use Tekmetric. This policy explains what the Toolbox reads, what leaves your browser, where it goes, and what we keep. It is written to be read, not just agreed to.
The short version
- The Toolbox reads the Tekmetric repair order page you have open, only when you click one of its tools.
- Customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, and street addresses are removed in your browser before anything is sent anywhere.
- What is sent is the repair order's work content: vehicle, mileage, jobs, parts, prices, inspection findings, service history. It goes to our server, and parts of it to an AI service, to produce the tool's result.
- We keep your shop's settings, the answers your shop saves, a usage log, and tool results for a few days. We don't sell data, and we don't use it to train AI models.
What the Toolbox reads
On Tekmetric repair order pages (shop.tekmetric.com), the extension reads the page you are looking at: the repair order number, vehicle, VIN, mileage, the estimate's jobs, parts, and prices, inspection findings and photos, technician and advisor names, Job History, and the Carfax report when it is open. On Tekmetric's Canned Jobs and Shop Settings pages it can read lists you paste into Toolbox settings. It does not read other websites.
What is removed before it leaves your browser
Before any text is sent, the extension strips the customer's name, phone numbers, email addresses, and street addresses from it. Customer contact details are never sent to our server or to any AI service. Vehicle identification numbers and license plates are sent, because the tools need the vehicle.

What we keep
- Your shop's settings (intervals, canned jobs, matrices, rates, goals, priorities, warranty terms, team list) and their change history, for as long as your shop uses the Toolbox.
- Answers your shop saves ("doesn't apply", "done elsewhere", match terms) by vehicle, for as long as your shop uses the Toolbox.
- Tool results and read history for a repair order, for 3 days, so other computers in your shop see the same result without re-running it.
- A usage log: which tool ran, when, on which repair order number, by which signed-in email, and the estimated AI cost. Used for the owner report and billing.
- Problem reports: when a tool fails, the tool, the repair order number, and the error message, for support.
- Sign-in records: your email, role, shop, and last sign-in time.
We do not keep the repair order text itself beyond the 3-day result window, and we do not keep inspection photos after the audit that used them.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent any data.
- We don't use your data to train AI models, and our AI provider doesn't either.
- We don't show ads.
- We don't read your customers' contact details, and we don't contact your customers.
Chrome permissions, and why

Who can see what
Each shop's data is separate. Admins can change their shop's settings and team; advisors can use every tool; technicians see the maintenance check and inspection tools. The product owner can see each shop's usage, cost, team, and problem reports in order to run the service, and can pause a shop. The owner does not read shops' repair order content in the normal course of business.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS. Sign-in uses Supabase with emailed codes, passwords, or Google, and sessions expire. The server runs on Google Cloud Run with secrets kept in Google Secret Manager. The database is hosted by Supabase in the United States.
Your choices
- Nothing is sent until you click a tool. Don't click, nothing leaves the page.
- A shop admin can remove any team member, which ends their access.
- A shop can ask us to delete its settings, saved answers, and logs at any time; write to the address below.
- Uninstalling the extension removes everything it kept on that computer.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the Toolbox collects or where it goes, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell shop admins in the Toolbox.
